Powers and Duties of officers and Employees
3.1 That, all officers and employees of J&K Police derive their powers from the J&K Police Act 1927. The duties are discharged in accordance with procedures outlined in the J&K Criminal Procedure Code and Police Rules as defined in the J&K Police Manual. In addition, the powers and duties of Police officers are guided by notifications, circulars and directions issued by the Government from time to time.
